There was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her is based on the Futabasha-published manga by Kairi. The story follows Yoki, who reincarnates in a fantasy world as the underling of the Demon King. One day, the Hero’s Party arrives to take down the Demon King, and Yoki instantly falls in love with the priest Cecilia.
There was a Cute Girl in the Hero’s Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her started as a Shousetsuka ni Narou web novel by Suisei in 2013. Three light novel volumes were published between 2014 to 2015 under Futabasha’s Monster Bunko label, with illustrations from La-na. La-na is credited as the anime’s original character designer.
